Collective Worship

Our daily act of worship is an important part of every school day; the value we place on the opportunities we have to worship God together is clear for all to see.

Our collective worship each day is based around our Christian Values of Heartfelt Compassion, Boundless Creativity and Courageous Optimism.  Links are also made daily to British Values and how the schools’ values and British Values can be linked to the Bible, and the messages learnt from Jesus.

Our Collective Worship team made up of pupils from EYFS to Year 6 support with leading collective worship on a regular basis. Each day we say our Dr Walker’s CE (VC) Prayer and the children are given the opportunity to consider what spirituality means to us all.  The children are then provided with time to reflect before returning to their classes.

On Friday we celebrate and reflect on the achievements of the week.

Spirituality Statement

Spirituality is not something we can see; it is something we feel inside ourselves. It is about awe and wonder, asking questions, inspiration and being aware of something ‘bigger’ outside of ourselves. We look to God for guidance on our spiritual journey.

Roots and Fruits

Roots and Fruits provides creative collective worship for primary schools based on Christian values and themes over a period of two years. Rooted in Bible teaching, twelve Christian values represent the fruit that grows as the teaching is lived out in everyday life.

We reflect on these values throughout our school day, especially in our whole school Collective Worship. We work hard to demonstrate the best of these values, both in and out of school.
