DR WALKER’S SCHOOL FOUNDATION

DWSF is a charitable organisation set up by Dr Walker to assist the young people of the three parishes in furthering their education or entering a profession/trade/calling.

To this end, any young person who is resident in the parishes of Fyfield, Willingale or High Ongar may seek financial assistance from the Foundation. Assistance is also open to young people who have attended Dr Walker’s School for not less than two years and who, in the opinion of the Governors, are in need of financial assistance.

Grants can be available towards an education exhibition approved by the Governors, the cost of clothing, tools, instruments or books required to assist their entry into a profession, trade or calling, or otherwise promote their education. Applicants for university and other further education are particularly encouraged.

Please keep this information for when your child reaches the end of their secondary education and becomes eligible to apply for a grant. Grant applications should be submitted in writing by the young person to the Clerk by the end of the first full week of September. Please note that the Foundation is an independent charitable organisation and is not linked to, or managed by, the school.
